石山寺の春 おまけ 信楽

Spring in Ishiyama-dera Temple  and Shigaraki

cats君のツーリングの下見で、滋賀県へ行って来た。

We visited Shiga Pref. to check places for hubby's automobile club touring.

名物の蜆ご飯でお昼を食べた後は、石山寺へ。

After having lunch with freshwater clam rice we visited Ishiyama-dera Temple.

紫式部のおばさんが源氏物語を書いたお寺。

Murasakishikibu wrote 'The Tale of Genji'  at that temple.

 

珍しい石があるので、石山寺と呼ばれるらしい・・・

There are lots of strange shaped rocks and they call the temple 'Ishiyama-dera' ( the temple of rocks ).

桜　は　寒桜。　「夢の桜」と名付けられていた。

Cherry blossoms  what we call Kanzakura ( winter cherry ).

They names these trees 'Yume no sakura' ( dream cherry ).

石山寺を後にして、焼き物の里、信楽へ。

Left Ishiyama-dera we visited Shigaraki, town of ceramic.

途中、道路が集中豪雨で崩落して通行止めになっていたが、迂回路が近くにあったので問題はなかった。

信楽は大きな被害を受けて、まだ復旧工事の最中だ。

On our way to Shigaraki we saw the landslide of a road.  

Shigaraki area had a serious damage of  a localized torrential downpour in 2013 and they are still fixing roads.

 

信楽はどこの店にも焼き物が置いてあった。

In Shigaraki Town they put their ceramic items in the front of their shops.
