西神社（又は西宮神社？）

鹿野馬神社へ行く途中、国道沿いに、大きな公孫樹が生えている神社を見つけた。
ここの公孫樹は鹿野馬の公孫樹より背が高く、スリムである。
神社の名前は何通りか呼び名があるらしく、はっきりしない。

I found another shinto shrine where has another big Ginko tree on the way to Kanuma.
This Ginko is taller and slimer than one of Kanuma.
This shrine has some calls and I don't know which is the real name.










見上げても巨大なので全景がファインダーに入らない。

農村歌舞伎の舞台？　奥に巨大絵馬がある。

A stage of farmers' Kabuki ? There is a big "ema" inside.




1メートル以上ある切り株。

A big stump.





扁額には「西神社」とあるが、地図には西宮神社と書かれている。
しかも、国道の東側に表示されている。実際は西側にある。

On "Hengaku" ( shrine's name plate on the Torii gate ) they wrote "Nishi-jinja" but on the map the name of the shrine is "Nishimiya-jinja".
On the map it is at the east of the R427, but actually it is at the west of the highway.

鹿野馬神社の公孫樹

何故かこの公孫樹が好きで好きで堪らない。

Ginko at Kanoma ( alias Kanuma ) Shrine

参道から








常瀧寺廃寺跡にある大公孫樹「乳の木」さん
畑で農作業をしていたお婆さんが歴史を教えてくれた。
「ここからが、あの木は一番よく見える」とのこと。

The big Ginko tree "Chichi-no-ki san " ( the milk tree ) at the remains of older Joryu-ji Temple
An old woman who worked in the field told me the history of that tree and the temple.
"From here you can see that tree the best", she said.

国営木曾三川公園の紅葉

お天気が悪かったので、紅葉もパッとしない。

We had a bad weather.Colored leaves didn't look so good.

国営木曽三川公園

この公園は木曽三川の治水工事を記念したものらしい。

紅葉と千本松原

Colored leaves and "Sen-bon-Matsu-bara". Sen-bon-matsu-bara is pine trees to protect the riverbank against violent water.




川の水を表現？

Water of the rivers.





菊の花が満開

Chrysanthemums are full.




後にわかったが、この池は海を表現していた。

Afterward I knew that this pond stands for the sea.




この向こうに子供の遊具。

Over there they put Children's area.










公園は木曾三川を表現している。
右から木曽川、長良川、写真に写っていないが、左に揖斐川。
揖斐川は長良川と合流する。この三川は、度々洪水を引き起こし、住民を苦しめた。

This park shows The three rivers of Kiso.
From the right the Kiso River, the Nagara River, and out of the picture, at the left side the Ibi River. The Ibi joins the Nagara near the sea.
Those three rivers often brought serious floods and people suffered from them.
